9 Months old! (Can you believe it?)

Our baby is now 9 months old. Three more months and he will be 1!!! Where does the time go? I am trying to savor this first year, I mean, look at all the milestones and accomplishments that take place during thier first year of life! These days Liam is getting more and more mobile and independent. Here is what is going on in his life:

Food:

-Liam eats three meals a day plus nurses 3 to 4 times a day. He is only serious about nursing 2 times a day. The other times he just wants a "snack."

-Liam still eats baby food from the jar but I try to give him finger foods at every meal as well.

Finger foods he loves:

Pears

Apples

Strawberries

Cucumbers

Black Olives

Green Beans

Edamame
Carrots

Black Beans

Turkey Dogs

Chicken

Turkey

Baked Potatoes

Physical Development:

Liam has been army crawling for about a month now. He will go from sitting to his hands and knees and then to his belly. It is amazing how fast he is!! Liam will also pull up on things every once in a while...... but we still help him in this area quite a bit. Liam loves to crawl to the dog bowls, door stoppers, and electrical cords. :(

Liam's new favorite game is to throw his toys and then chase after them. This will keep him entertained for a while (it also keeps us entertained too!).

We are also working on some basic sign language with Liam. So far he will sign "all done" and "more." I think that is a pretty good start!

Liam also will clap when he gets excited or sees people that he loves. He also loves to wave bye- bye.

Lastly, we have discovered that if Liam is not happy we can just put him in the bathtub. This kid loves to take baths! He will sit in the bath and play for as long as I will let him!

Liam's first Halloween was a success! He actually didnt mind being dressed up!

On Friday night we went to the Fall Festival at church. Cousin Cal, Aunt Mel, Uncle Jared, Gamma, and Grandpa all came as well. It was so much fun!! We didnt go Trick or Treating on Halloween because lets face it Liam wouldnt have even known what was going on. I am hoping that next year will be a different story! It is such a blessing to get to be Liam's mom! He is the sweetest little boy!!!

Fun in the Backyard!

Last night we had so much fun spending time as a family. I feel like we need to get better at spending good quality time together! Yes, we see each other everyday but how often do we intentionally spend quality time together? We put a fire in the fire pit and laid a blanket on the lawn. Liam had a blast laughing at the dogs as they ran around in circles and J.T. and I had a good time relaxing as a family with no distractions!! So refreshing!!!! Well I guess JT had a good time pulling weeds too! Thank you Jesus for blessing me with such an awesome family!!!

So, it has been a while since I have posted anything. Liam is down for a marathon nap so I thought I would give it a go!! What is Liam doing these days...
Sits up by himself
rolls from one end of living room to the other
can move himself backward
turns in circles while laying on his belly
Loves the dogs!!!

Liam favors the veggies more than the fruit..... that suprises me!!

LIam weighs 19 pounds and get cuter everyday!! He is so full of life and I feel so blessed to get to spend time with him and watch him grow everyday!! I love you Liam!!!

Uncle Jordan Loves the Cardinals!!! So he got Liam and Calvin matching Pujols shirts when he went to the Cards Cubs game a few weekends ago!! How cute is this!!!

THis Mother's day was of course a special one!! Melissa and I got to celebrate our first mother's day.

3 Months Old!!

Liam is 3 months old and growing up so fast! He now sleeps 9 to 10 hours at night and likes to take a nap every 2 to 3 hours during the day. Liam loves to smile and talk! His favorite friend these days is the ceiling fan. The fan even distracts him during meal time! He mut think it is pretty special because eating is his other favorite thing! He is eating 7 to 8 ounces at a time. Last week we weighed him and he is at an impressive 16 1/2 pounds!! I am starting to wonder if he is teething.... he started drooling alot and likes to chew on his thumb....oh boy! I dont know if I am ready for him to have teeth.......

Easter 2009

This Easter was so special!! Our families are expanding with wonderful blessings (Liam and Calvin) from God. We decided to do a little photo shoot because we havent taken enough pictures of the boys with Gamma and Grandpa!! These are a few of the "good" ones. We are so excited to watch these little boys hunt for easter eggs next year and to tell them the good news of what Jesus sacrificed for them!! How special to be able to see these boys grow up together and learn about our awesome Lord and Redeemer!!

Back to Work

Well I went back to work today. I am happy to report that there were no tears on my part :) I think it helps that I only work 7 to 11am and Liam is in great hands! No one can beat a Grandma's love! Liam pretty much slept the entire time! I am excited about my work schedule, I work Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7am to 11am! The only problem is that Liam still isnt sleeping through the night.....so it looks like I will have to just have to adapt to less sleep and waking up at 5am!!!!!

Theese two are going to be best buds! I cant wait for them to be running around together. Calvin loves to talk to Liam and I know it wont be long until Liam is talking back!! I went in for my eight week check up and they weighed Liam for me, He weighs an impressive 14pounds!!! He is already wearing 3-6 month clothing!!!

2 months old (almost)

Liam will be 2 months old on Thursday!!! He has grown sooo much. Liam smiles now at anyone who smiles at him he is also more aware of the things around him. He loves staring at the ceiling fan and TV. He is such a sweet boy!!! We are going in for our 8 week check up on Tuesday and I will update with his stats!
